Welcome to the website for the Catholic Diocese of San Diego- Office for Young Adult Ministry (YAM). Our purpose is to put Catholic young adults 18-39, single and married, in touch with each other and with the Church. We strive to develop and strengthen relationships with Christ, with one another, and with the wider community by offering spiritual, social, and service opportunities, along with vocation and relationship education. Our programs offer an alternative to the lifestyle experienced in our culture.

Do you have a feeling that there must be “more than this?” There is! We have new members join every month. Search our calendar of activities for ongoing and upcoming events. These spirit-filled events are designed for YOU - regardless of where you are in your life and your faith journey!

Please take a moment and sign-up to receive our monthly e-newsletter. Or, let us know how we can assist you. Please contact us if you have questions.

There are new Young Adult Groups starting throughout the diocese. If you are interested in finding out where please contact us or check out these two new groups: St. Joseph Cathedral and St. Michael’s Poway or meet other YA’s through the weekly summer activities offered through CYAS.

Synod on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment

You have a voice in the Catholic Church and it matters.

Pope Francis wants YOU to share your thoughts and ideas on how the Church succeeds and fails to engage young people, so that he can help guide us to greater unity in Truth and Love when he gathers with bishops from around the world for a Synod on the topic of Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment in October 2018.

As his starting point for this Synod, Pope Francis has asked each of us - Catholics and non-Catholics alike - to share our personal experience of how the Catholic Church supports and accompanies us through our lives. All you have to do to be heard is submit this form. Please give your honest, good-willed opinion, and ask your friends to do the same.

Thank you for your time, your support, and your prayers! We are excited to hear from you!
