Why Attend?

Whether you’re rushing to your next class, working overtime to meet that deadline at work, juggling family obligations, or just trying to figure out what you’re going to eat for dinner, we could all use a little break. Retreats offer a unique opportunity to take a breather amidst our busy lives to rest, reflect, and reconnect with our loving God. Our annual retreat features Mass, worship music, keynote presentations, interactive workshops, outdoor activities, social opportunities, and more! This year, the Office for Youth and Young Adult Ministry brings you an encouraging weekend to slow down, trust in the Lord, and find the light of hope in our lives; we would love to share it with you.

Keynote Speakers:

Brya Hanan: Brya Hanan is a wife and mother, licensed marriage and family therapist, life coach, and fellow pilgrim on the healing journey. Brya brings her Catholic tradition, professional and personal insights, and understanding of trauma to offer accompaniment and tools for interior integration and wholeness. By weaving together Church teaching, Psychology, Neuroscience, and Inner Child work, Brya hopes to encourage others to live a fulfilling and authentic life. Her recent book, Befriending Your Inner Child: A Catholic Approach to Inner Healing, invites you to befriend your emotional wounds, childish behavior, and tendency toward polarization—or, in psychotherapy, your “inner child”—and extend Christ’s compassion to this child.

Fr. John Francis: Fr. John Francis CSJ is a Catholic religious brother and priest with the Brothers of St. John. He currently works full time in young adult and youth ministry both as a Chaplain at Seton Hall University and as the Lead Chaplain of Eagle Eye Ministries. Life is short, so he prays, longboards, hikes, drinks real tea, and snowboards whenever possible.
