Earlier this week, Pope Francis asked all of the bishops of the world to gather with their priests, in these days of war and suffering in Ukraine, to join in the consecration of Ukraine, Russia and the whole world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. For this reason, during a meeting on March 22 of the priests of the Diocese of San Diego for the synodal process, Bishop Robert W. McElroy joined with Auxiliary Bishops John Dolan and Ramón Bejarano and the priests in reciting the prayer of Consecration that our Holy Father will be offering this Friday, March 25.
Bishop McElroy has asked all of the parishes of the diocese to gather in prayer on Friday morning to unite with Pope Francis in this act of Consecration, either after their daily Mass or during the time of the Consecration in Rome, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time.
May this action of the Universal Church promote peace, the conversion of the world, and devotion to our Blessed Mother.
