SUMMARY:California Eucharistic Pilgrimage: Mission San Diego de Alcalá
DESCRIPTION:The Camino de California Eucharistic Pilgrimage brings Our Eucharistic Lord to the people of California\, visiting all 21 missions along the Camino Real. \nThe pilgrimage will travel from Northern to Southern California from June 6 to 22. Pilgrims will participate in special Masses\, adoration\, processions and more. \nThe pilgrimage includes events at four locations in San Diego County on June 16\, 17 and 18. \nThese pilgrims hope to be instruments of God’s love and mercy during the Jubilee Year of Hope. \nInformation about the California Eucharistic Pilgrimage: www.caminodecalifornia.org \nMonday\, June 16\n7-8 pm: Celebrate Mass at the first of California’s missions\, Mission San Diego de Alcalá\, built by St. Junípero Serra. \nCalifornia pilgrims will meet up with pilgrims from the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. \n8-9 pm: Holy Hour\, Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass.

DESCRIPTION:One of the services offered by the Caring for the Whole Person initiative\, is to accompany elderly and/or ill parishioners and their family\, who are facing difficult questions and decisions during this stage in their life. \n  \n“Accompanying You as Your Life Journey Continues” is aimed at providing support and direction in the search for answers\, by learning about helpful resources in the community. \n  \nSpeakers: \n  \nMs. Nellie Hernandez\, Bilingual Dementia Educator\, from Alzheimer’s\, San Diego \n  \nMr. Matthew Parcasio\, MA\, from County of San Diego\, Health and Human Services Agency\, Caregiver Programs Coordinator\, Aging and Independence Services \n  \nMr. David Schwartz\, Staff Attorney from Elder Law and Advocacy (ELA)\, a non-profit group of experienced attorneys\, staff\, and volunteers who provide free civil legal services and Medicare counseling to qualifying seniors and people with disabilities. ELA also provides community education\, events\, and advocacy to advance seniors’ rights. \n  \nParishioners\, caregivers\, and ministers who help to the sick and establish a supportive community for the terminally ill parishioners and their families are welcome. \n					\n									Register
