This initiative supports parishioners and their families as they lovingly attend, accompany and care for the chronically ill and the terminally ill on their final journey.
This training for parish volunteers consists of five sessions held on consecutive Wednesday nights. The topics covered include the spiritual, emotional and physical care of the terminally ill, advanced care planning, Catholic moral teaching and more.
This initiative is a collaborative project of the California Catholic bishops and California Catholic health systems.
