Participate in the Safe Environment training and background check program. This program ensures that all employees and volunteers that interact with students are trained and cleared to ensure student safety. All students are also trained to immediately report any suspicious behavior to a trusted adult.
Align curriculum to the Diocesan Religion Standards, Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and California content standards
Maintain accreditation with the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Work toward meeting the standards of the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). These standards guide the accreditation process and guide schools towards best practices in school operation.
Utilize the Renaissance STAR assessments and NCEA IFG: ACRE assessment to monitor student learning and growth related to early literacy, reading, math, and faith. The Renaissance STAR assessments are administered three times a year in the fall, winter, and spring to all grade students in grades K-8. The NCEA IFG: ACRE assessment is administered in the winter of each year to 5th, 8th, and 11th/12th grade.
Received training in and are actively developing and implementing school safety and violence prevention plans through the San Diego County Office of Education.
The majority of schools in the Diocese offer tuition assistance. Tuition amounts and any possible assistance to families is determined at the school site.
