It is important that those who are using pornography and those that are affected by a spouse’s receive the support and healing that they need. ForYourMarriage.org provides a select list of resources for those who are struggling with pornography, as well as for their spouses and family members.
Integrity Restored
Integrity Restored‘s mission is to restore the integrity of individuals, spouses, and families that have been affected by pornography and pornography addiction. Integrity Restored provides education, encouragement, and resources to, break free from pornography, heal relationships, and to assist parents in preventing and responding to pornography exposure which is so devastating in the lives of our children.
Catholic in Recovery
Catholic in Recovery meetings overlap 12-step spirituality with the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. They are open to all seeking freedom from addiction, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments. We also have groups available for family members impacted by a loved one’s addiction and groups specific to lust addiction recovery.
RECLAIM Sexual Health
RECLAIM is a professional and science-based Catholic online program designed to help individuals overcome unhealthy sexual behaviors.
Exodus 90
Exodus 90 is a ninety-day spiritual exercise for men based on three pillars: prayer, asceticism, and fraternity. All three of these pillars are essential aspects of the Christian life. It is for this reason that taking up this spiritual exercise requires taking up all three of these pillars both simultaneously and humbly. Although not solely a program for those who struggle with sexual addiction, this program requires abstaining from pornographic media, alcohol and other negative influences.
Ministry Resources:
Create in Me a Clean Heart: A Pastoral Response to Pornography (2015 document from the USCCB): This statement was offered “to give a word of hope and healing to those who have been harmed by pornography and to raise awareness of its pervasiveness and harms.”
Integrity Restored (integrityrestored.com) is a resource that trains and helps clergy in assisting families at the parish level, so that the domestic church truly becomes what it is, the human space in which we encounter Christ.
