Catholic Leaders, Leading Scientists Call on President Biden to Work for World Without Nuclear Weapons

SAN DIEGO – Catholic leaders, including San Diego Bishop Robert W. McElroy, and leading scientists across the country called today on President Biden to work for a world free of the nuclear threat.  Bishop McElroy was recently appointed to the board that oversees the Vatican Dicastery (Department) promoting Integral Human Development. In 2017, he was a panelist on a Vatican symposium on nuclear disarmament with former US Secretary of State George Schultz (R) and former Senate Armed Services Chairman Sam Nunn (D-GA).
