Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., dedicated his life and work to the service of others, tirelessly working as a pastor and civil rights leader.
The diocese will pay tribute to his call to service in a special Mass, to be held on the Sunday before the national Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The entire community is invited to attend the Mass, to be celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Felipe Pulido.
Deacon Marvin Threatt, a long-time leader in the African American Catholic community, will deliver the homily.
The Diocesan Commission for African American Catholics is once more organizing this Mass.
