The entire community is invited to join the diocese’s annual joyous celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The colorful procession will once again begin at 11 AM at the Morley Field Sports Complex, between Upas and Jacaranda streets, and move through North Park streets, ending at St. Augustine High School, 3266 Nutmeg. Dozens of groups from parishes across the region will participate in the procession, which includes decorated cars and dancers.
At the school, Auxiliary Bishop Felipe Pulido will celebrate a bilingual Mass at 1 PM, supported by dozens of clergy. An outdoor reception follows, complete with traditional Mexican food.
The celebration is organized by the diocese’s Hispanic Commission, in collaboration with the Confederación Guadalupana, which brings together groups from dozens of parishes.
Very limited parking will be available on residential streets around the high school. Participants are urged to park at the Morley Field Sports Complex.
