Spring Forward: Mental Health for the Pastoral Minister Today!
We are living through an epic, tech-driven cultural hurricane that is washing away ancient bridges of human connection. Young people and those who work with them are paying an especially high price. While children of all ages now carry unprecedented levels of anxiety, catechetical leaders, catechists, parish ministers and pastors live with unparalleled stress-and pressure dealing with both stressed-out children and their parents. Dr. Tim Hogan will help us to experience why Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies have become a necessary focus for leaders who are committed to growing a culture of both high achievement and skillful, loving connection. In addition, attendees will learn principles to integrate SEL into both the faith formation classroom and overall parish community. Finally, participants will practice five unique SEL skills during this session. Participants should expect to leave this session feeling encouraged and revitalized.
All parish leaders, catechists, parents, teachers and those working with youth are invited.
