Ages 18–39
Do you ever feel like making a choice–especially an important choice–is hard? That sometimes it can become overwhelming, or that you avoid choices without a “take back” clause? Rest assured, this is perfectly normal! Yet, even if major choices don’t cause you a tremendous amount of stress, there are still better approaches to making choices and discerning a grace-filled present and future. Using findings from sociology and psychology and integrating these with Catholic theology, this talk will explore why big choices can be scary, and even paralyzing, and how we can understand our apprehensions without letting them overcome us. You’ll walk away with a fresh look at discernment, as well as an awareness and trust that you really can be fully free and fully alive in Christ.
