The Diocese’s Catholic Schools take an active role in promoting vocations among their students throughout the year.
Vocations Day
During Catholic Schools Week (last week of January), many schools have a “Vocations Day” where they celebrate priests and other religious. Some schools have a “panel” of priests, Brothers, and Religious Women speak to the students about their vocation.
Creative Exercise
The Diocese’s Schools partner with the Serra Club for an annual 8th grade essay contest. The essay prompt in 2024 was: “If I am called to the religious life, which order would I pick and why?”
