About Us
Who We Are
We, the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego, are dedicated to the mission of Jesus Christ, focusing on love, service, mercy and justice. We strive to cultivate an environment where all faithful can grow their relationship with God and experience the life-changing power of His love.
We are a diverse community, speak many languages, but are united as one to live the Gospel teachings in our families, neighborhoods, workplaces and society. We encourage active participation in the sacramental life of the Church and a shared responsibility for its growth and well-being. We believe all life is sacred and work and advocate for its protection. We aim to serve the most vulnerable in our midst through our social service programs. Wherever you are in your faith journey, we’re ready to humbly walk with you in the light of our Savior.
How to Get Involved
We welcome you in any of our parishes, where you will find a loving community ready to share the life of the Church. You are also welcome to join us at the myriad of events we present during the year in various languages across our diocese, from small prayer groups to workshops to special Masses.
