Economic growth is generally understood as a “good” for society, but how do our expectations for growth achieve goodness and for whom? Laudato Si’ calls us to integral human development, but what does that mean in practice? What does just human flourishing look like?
Chad Baron, theology teacher at Cristo Rey High School (Orange County) and co-founder of Degrowth California, enters into this tricky question of Ecological Economics, challenging our thinking on growth.
