San Diego County health officials updated their orders to curb the spread of COVID-19 on January 25.
Parishes in San Diego County will continue to operate as they have since early December, celebrating Masses outdoors, with parishioners wearing face masks, observing social distancing and following other safety measures.

The universal dispensation of the faithful from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues throughout the diocese. However, the diocese continues to offer this Mass in English and Spanish through its website www.sdcatholic.org . Catholic schools in San Diego County also remain open for in-person and online instruction.
Bishop Robert McElroy acknowledges that the frequent changes during the pandemic have been very difficult for our Catholic community, but he also believes that our Faith sustains us today and always:
