Walk for Life

Why Attend?

The San Diego Walk for Life strives to bring the community together to celebrate the gift of life. We recognize the fundamental worth of every person from conception to natural death, and we stand up for the unborn and their parents.

In several states, the Walk for Life occurs near the January 22 anniversary of the US Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v Wade decision, which legalized abortion. Although this decision was overturned in June 2022, abortion remains legal in California. Therefore, we, as Christians, have the duty to continue praying and advocating for the unborn and supporting families and pregnant women in need.

Walk for Life Video Contest

In order to increase community engagement and involvement, a proposed new aspect of the 2024 San Diego Walk for Life is a video contest. Participants will fall into three categories: young adult, families, and open submission. The 1 minute video will give people an opportunity to express their thoughts on the prompt questions of:

  • How are you a witness for life in your community?
  • Why is it important to actively be a witness for life?
  • How can we continue to cultivate a culture of life?

The goal is to post some of these videos to social media and have them playing on a loop during the January event. There will be two winners per category that will receive a surprise prize. Rules for entry and specific next steps can be found in the entry form at The deadline for submissions is December 22, 2023. Thank you so much!

You asked, and we listened!

Over the years, many of you have asked if the volunteer t-shirts were for sale or if we had any SDWL memorabilia to sell during the event, and we unfortunately said no. But fear not, this January 13th, we’ve got you covered! Our planning committee has been working diligently to offer you the coolest T-shirt with the SDWL 2024 theme. Preorders are required. Please know that your purchase helps fund the SDWL 2024. We are grateful for your support.
